[Week 28: Inspired by a Flag] London’s Calling!

This is quite a personal mani this week ❤ when I did this mani the first time, I just tried to do an easy flag and just been given a free sample of a 3-free nail polish by London Butter… so naturally, I did the UK flag:

Little did I know, that a few months later I would be called on a mission to England! I loved my 18 months there, so this mani totally takes me back ❤

I have created a mixed mani inspired by England! I couldn’t go past using ‘United Kingdom’ which is of course a classic UK flag. Then I have added ‘London Double’ a cute double decker and big ben pattern ❤ which I finished off with a few random accent nails of ‘Candy Apple’ gel!

I hope you all have a great week! Jamberry is currently in 5 countries and growing, including the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and Mexico! To have a look at what designs available online, click HERE!

[Week 24: Inspired by a Book] The Rainbow Fish

This is my nostalgic week… Last time I couldn’t go past a classic Harry Potter inspired mani 🙂

But this week, I am heading back to preschool 😉 it’s art time! When I first saw ‘Shinning Personality’ I instantly thought of the Rainbow Fish and the shinny little scales!

For this mani, I have used ‘Mermaid Tales’ for my base wrap, a cute scaly ombre from purple to a bluey green shade. I have overlaid ‘Shinning Personality’ on top of ‘Mermaid Tales’ to get the Rainbow Fish effect 🙂

As an accent nail, I have been inspired by a mani I saw on facebook which was stunning, and the colour combos just match the Rainbow Fish theme! As a base wrap, I have used the StyleBox Exclusive which was a part of the time capsule a few months ago called ‘Behind the Design Ombre’ which is this gorgeous ombre from silver through to a bluey/purple. I have overlaid a clear wrap called ‘Metallic Silver Stripe’

I am actually really in love with this mani! I had a lot of fun with my mini ‘arts and craft’ class and I am ready for nap time 😛

[Week 21: Inspired by a Colour] Rose Quartz Meets Serenity

Inspired by a colour? Well, that decision was pretty easy! This years Pantone colour of the year is two tone, first, Rose Quartz which is beautiful soft pink and second, Serenity – a very relaxing blue. Now normally I couldn’t care less about the colour of the year, but these two are very pretty and soft and make for a cute mani!

I have used two wraps, ‘Rose Quartz Getaway’ which is a rose quartz base with a deep blue/sea green leafy pattern, with some accent nails of ‘Serenity Ombre’ which has a subtle gradient from silver to serenity. Initially I wasn’t too keen on the ombre as it is ever so subtle, but it has already grown on me and I love it!

I actually put this mani together a few days ok and it has been so calming to look at the pretty pastel shades, and the glitter! Perfect for the craziness that is mid semester of uni!

[Week 14: Flowers] Smelling (or looking at) Roses

Our family has a saying, ‘smelling roses’ which typically means just going on spontaneous adventures during road trips, like deciding to drive down random roads to see sunsets over a dam, or even to just see where it goes 🙂 I feel like I am in need of an adventure, but I guess I looking at these pretty roses on my nails will have to do this week!

2012 saw me doing a pretty simple blue floral design over a neutral pinkish shade:

I have gone for a similar look this week – except, it looks more perfect 😉 with this neutral grey wrap with red and blue roses.

This weeks wrap is from the style box capsule which is exclusively available to Australian and New Zealand markets. I have used the January 2016 Classic Style Box wrap, ‘Vintage Meets Modern Floral’ and I am in love!!! As usual, I have topped this matte wrap with Jamberry’s Trushine Gel system using the base and top coat 🙂

I hope you are all having a wonderful week, love K x

[Week 12: Stripes] Back to Basics!

Ok, I am totally guilty of getting overly excited about the exclusive wraps Jamberry release… and forget about the amazing wraps in the catalogue and the 5-free nail polish which is free from the five major chemicals that are in most nail polishes. So this week, I am going back to the catalogue to pick out my favourite stripy wrap 🙂

FullSizeRender

This weeks mani features a mixed wrap called English Garden. It is a glossy, mixed wrap, which has roses all over – half with a striped background, half with a polka dot background. I have just used the striped wraps and paired it with one of Jamberrys lacquers, Cosmic Blue 🙂 I seriously love this mani, it feels so classy and that blue… I am in love!

What I think I love most, is that my stripes are actually straight this time!!! Back in 2012, I could barely paint in straight line, but I gave it a good try 😛

[Week 9: Rainbow] Colour Crush

I am totally ready to be back to my bright colours!!! Going to need it to get me through this week of hibernation for exams next week and sudden wintery snap!

I present my, ahh, creative… attempt at rainbow from 2012:

I think my Jamberry attempt is much prettier! This was the March 2016 Sister Style (which is the exclusive wrap of the month) it was called colour crush – or color crush depending on where you live 😉 I love how some of this wrap is glittery, and some of it is glossy! It looks amazing (wish it was a permanent wrap!)

Hope you all have a great week! Have a look HERE to see other cute, quick and easy manis you can do at home 🙂

[Week 5: Blue] Blissful Serenity

I am not going to lie! I loved doing my nails before this blog, but I am really loving that hour every week that I get to spend doing my nails. It is reminding me of the importance of having a little ‘me time’ every week 🙂

This weeks mani features two wraps, first wrap is called ‘botanical bliss’ which is a mothers day exclusive from the gift pack ‘the two of us’ and has a beautiful blue floral. Second wrap is called ‘serenity stripe’ which is a pretty pale blue using this years colour of the year. Both have a glossy finish 🙂

I had a hard time picking which wrap I was going to use this week. ‘The two of us’ has 3 beautiful florals which I really had a hard time picking between this week 😛 so naturally, I got my mother to help me pick! Thanks MUM!
